Detroit Pistons starter Duncan Robinson did not dress for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference second-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night due to lower-back soreness.
Robinson was 14 of 24 from 3-point range over the first three games of the series while averaging 17 points. He then struggled in Monday’s Game 4, scoring four shots on two shots (1 of 2 from behind the arc).
Robinson, 32, averaged 12.2 points and made 220 3-pointers during the regular season, the fourth-highest single season total of his career. He shot 41% from behind the arc.
Daniss Jenkins started in place of Robinson.
The winner of Wednesday’s contest will take a 3-2 lead into Game 6 on Friday night in Cleveland.
